June 4 @ 9:00 am - June 8 @ 4:00 pm$100 - $125
It’s time for another summer of museum mischief! Registration is open for Camp Dawson (June 4-8) hosted by the Thomasville History Center (formerly the Thomas County Historical Society). Campers in rising third through rising sixth grades are eligible to sign-up and scholarship assistance may be available.
Using the History Center’s backyard and eight historic structures as our “classroom,” Camp Dawson will journey through Thomasville and Thomas County history meeting early explorers, Native American tribes, pioneer settlers, Civil War soldiers, Victorian Resort-goers, and more! Activities are hands-on and history-based.
Registration is open for all interested participants in rising third through rising sixth grades. Drop-off for summer camp begins at 8:45am and pick-up is at 4pm. Fees include all materials, snacks, and a camp shirt which will be tie-dyed and worn for our special Friday field-trip to Paradise Park.
Fees: Members $100, Non-Members $125.
Scholarship assistance may be available. Please contact the Thomasville History Center at 229.226.7664 or email@example.com for more information regarding the scholarship application process.
