Calling all members…we’re going on a field trip! Join us as Saturday, March 13 at 11am as we venture to Miccosukee for a visit to a historic property. Attendees will see a restored historical cemetery and artifacts from Col. Richard Parish who established Jackson Hill Plantation circa 1825-1855, it was the first plantation in this area. 

This meet-up will be outdoors and around an hour in length. We encourage you to dress appropriately, wear masks, and maintain distance. Parking will be limited. Attendees will be responsible for their own transportation. If you carpool, please do so safely and follow CDC suggestions. After you register, we will share the address and directions. About our Host: Jess Van Dyke is a retired biologist and current farmer. His family has lived in Thomasville for generations. He has an M.A. from the University of Florida. Has lived on this land since 1975 and loves preserving the environment and history of this special place.
