Camp Dawson

June 1-5, 2020

Each day brings new adventures and museum mischief as campers immerse themselves in Thomas County history!

Campers will get hands-on with history, conducting an archaeology dig in the History Center’s backyard, testing their skills in the Log House kitchen, tending a pioneer garden, “meeting” Civil War soldiers, and much more while they explore the evolution of our community.

See what we’ve learned on the last day of camp with an exhibit open to family and friends!

Open to rising 3rd – rising 6th graders
Fees include snacks, beverages, camp shirt, & all supplies

Camp LPH

Join us as we explore turn of the century life that existed within and outside its walls… Campers will travel back in time from the 1940s to the 1880s.

Campers will construct and launch hot air balloons on the last day of camp inspired by the c.1886 balloon launch held in Thomasville.

Where are the Release Forms?

  • Each camper is required to have a current release form on file for that year’s camp. Information we require includes emergency contact information, health and/or allergy information we should be aware of, and permissions for your camper to participate in our field trips and activities.
  • This year, we have combined the registration and release forms for each camp into one form that can be completed as a fillable pdf or a standard pdf. Forms can be returned by mail or email.
  • If you complete your camper’s registration online, the questions you completed at the time of purchase will serve as your official registration and release.
  • If you need to update that information at any point, please use either pdf above and be sure to include your camper’s name so that we can update the information in our records.
