Discover your place on your family tree
Genealogy Workshop Presented in Partnership by the Thomasville History Center & the Thomasville Genealogical Library
Have you ever wanted to learn more about your family history but not sure how to get started? The Thomasville History Center, Thomasville Genealogical Library at Thomas University, and the Thomas County Public Library are joining forces to present “Roots & Branches,” a free hands-on workshop designed to help you start your genealogy research journey. Each organization will share information and resource lists explaining how participants can use their collections to discover their place on their family trees.
The workshop will be offered Thursday, March 28 from 2pm and 4pm at the Thomasville Genealogical Library. The “Roots & Branches” workshop is presented free of charge but participants must register in advance as space is limited. Register online today at thomasvillehistory.org.
No prior experience conducting family history research is required to participate. Participants must bring along their own laptop or tablet to use during the workshop, as there are limited patron computers available for your use at the Genealogical Library. Participants are also encouraged to create a free account on familysearch.org prior to your arrival to be used during the workshop. Participants will have time to utilize online resources as well as the collections of the Thomasville Genealogical Library during the workshop.
Please include the name and email address of each additional participant in the Additional Information section at checkout.
Space is limited in this workshop so interested participants are encouraged to sign up early.
